“Color is the place where our brain and the universe meet.”

Paul Klee

Art has become more than a hobby or passion at this point. I find myself seeing it all around me as I navigate the world. It’s become the lens that shapes my perception, connections, and a piece of the fabric that weaves together my existence.

At this point, it only makes sense to take this up and really put it to work. So here is a collection of snapshots from my life as I explore the world through art - deliberately.

Overview

  • Evolution of the Squiggly Bois

  • The real mythologies of 3-eyed cats and their undead lives

For The Time Beings

What started as a fun doodle very soon became a doodle series - Squiggly Bois, I called them. They were fun, uniquely expressive, and all of a sudden, more just an idle act.

The act of picking out the right color pen before starting each piece in itself became an exercise of reflection. What was I feeling, what did I want to channel into the piece, and how do I get started on this journey? And that was all pre-step one.

Putting pen to paper is all I can describe with clarity because everything after that becomes a blur, every time, without fail. The next thing I know, I take a step back, and there’s a “completed” piece, viola!

Taking this process in as a meditative journey rather than a final-product-oriented one opened something up indescribable. “Unfinished” pieces were still very much complete if they felt so (a brand new acceptance for me in the world of art), and I was still coming away with the same feeling as any other time.

In my current place in this (surely ongoing) journey, it feels only fitting to offer these works up to honor the Time Being in all their glory. So this collection here is for the Time Beings.
